A delicious and spicy ground beef taco recipe perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 yellow onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 1 orange or yellow bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- To serve: tortillas or rice with avocado/guacamole, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, jalapeños, hot sauce, etc.
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook, stirring to break apart, until browned.
- Add in all spices and stir well to coat. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. Drain the grease.
- Add in vegetable oil, onion, and bell peppers.
- Sauté over medium heat until vegetables are tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Add beef back in and stir well.
- Remove from heat.
- Serve in tortillas with desired toppings.
Notes
- This recipe can also be served over rice instead of in tortillas.
- Adjust the level of spices according to your taste preference.
