Description

A delicious and creamy Cajun chicken orzo dish that is easy to prepare and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken fillets
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper until soft.
  4. Add orzo and toast for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return chicken to the pan and cook until orzo is tender.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.

Notes

  • This dish can be served with a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated for lunch.
