Description

A delicious and easy berry croissant bake, perfect for brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces croissants (preferably a day or two old for best texture)
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 4 pieces eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using large strawberries, chop them into smaller pieces. Mix all your berries in a bowl and set them aside.
  3. Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together. Add the milk, sugar, and vanilla extract, then whisk until well combined.
  5. Gently fold the mixed berries into the custard mixture. Pour this blend over the croissant pieces.
  6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is lightly golden.
  7. Once done, allow it to cool for a few minutes, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For best results, use day-old croissants.
  • You can substitute the mixed berries with other fruits if desired.
