Description
A delicious and easy berry croissant bake, perfect for brunch or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces croissants (preferably a day or two old for best texture)
- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 4 pieces eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using large strawberries, chop them into smaller pieces. Mix all your berries in a bowl and set them aside.
- Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together. Add the milk, sugar, and vanilla extract, then whisk until well combined.
- Gently fold the mixed berries into the custard mixture. Pour this blend over the croissant pieces.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Once done, allow it to cool for a few minutes, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- For best results, use day-old croissants.
- You can substitute the mixed berries with other fruits if desired.
