Description
These Cajun chicken wings are perfectly seasoned and baked or air-fried to crispy perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings (I used split/party wings)
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground oregano
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Pat the chicken dry and place it in a large bowl or plastic bag. Season the chicken wings with the Cajun rub seasoning, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and add the wings to the pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes and then flip the wings.
- Bake for an additional 15-25 minutes until the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Use a meat thermometer.
- If using an air fryer, spray the basket with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Add the chicken to the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
- Open the air fryer and flip the chicken. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, ensuring it has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Notes
- Regular paprika can be used as a substitute for smoked paprika.
- Add more cayenne pepper for additional heat if desired.
- Always check the internal temperature of the chicken to ensure it is fully cooked.
