Description
A thick and pourable lemon glaze perfect for muffins and breads.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Add powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice to a medium mixing bowl.
- Whisk together until very thick and well mixed. If needed, add in up to 1 additional tablespoon lemon juice to reach desired thickness—start by whisking in just a splash of lemon juice until very thick and glaze falls off the spoon slowly while holding its shape.
- You don’t want to over-liquefy the glaze. However, if it gets too thin, simply add in more powdered sugar to thicken.
- The texture you’re aiming for is very thick, just pourable glaze that falls very slowly off the spoon, thicker than honey.
- Pour over semi-cooled baked goods like muffins and breads.
Notes
- This glaze is best used on baked goods that have been allowed to cool slightly.
- Adjust the amount of lemon juice to achieve desired consistency.
