Description

A simple and delicious spaghetti dish with garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat with the garlic-infused oil.
  4. Gradually add reserved pasta water, a little at a time, to create a silky sauce.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
  7. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
