A simple and delicious spaghetti dish with garlic and olive oil.
Ingredients

- 12 oz spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat with the garlic-infused oil.
- Gradually add reserved pasta water, a little at a time, to create a silky sauce.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

- This dish is best served fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
